Outstanding GCSE Results - Summer 2010

Congratulations to all our year 11 students on achieving outstanding results this year, the best in the history of the school.

55% of students achieved the headline grades with English and mathematics at grade ‘C’ an increase of 7% on 2009 and 5% above the national average.

76% of students achieved 5+A*-C grades and 100% achieved GCSE qualifications.

Again this year a number of students achieved remarkable results with a string of A* and A grades. For all our students their success would not have been achieved without their hard work, the dedication of their teachers and the support of their families.

These results round off a very successful year for St Peter’s: in the autumn term St Peter’s was judged by Ofsted to be ‘an outstanding school’, in the spring term our RE inspection judged St Peter’s to be ‘an outstanding Catholic school’ and now our GCSE results confirm St Peter's to be one of the most successful and highest achieving schools in Manchester.
